This is a large type of pen holder/rest.
The wood shape is very unique (natural tree growth).
Only a specific quantities of these pen holders can be made.
after intricate peeling/sanding of the tree bark,
about 10 holes will be drilled, along the top portion of the wood
after that, urushi coating will be applied to preserve the wood.
to prevent scratches from occuring from frequent pen holding/removing,
teflon inner protector will be installed for each holes.
