Harder type of argentium nib developed. Previous types were softer, due to finer frontal nib shape. this type, the nib is firmer. I am expecting this design will be even more durable than previous version. 2020. 3. 23.

ebonite feed 3g v6 so far, there has been a total of 4 reported cases of feed problems, of all pens sold. 1st gen: 1 overflow issue (fixed) 3rd gen: 3 cases of low flow issue (when continuous heavy writing), one of these 3 cases also had feed & nib fitting issue to tackle this problem, the ink slit has been increased from single to double. this enables continuous stable flow, and does not overflow. to deal with th.. 2019. 12. 12.
high level of nib polishing achieved, through research as opposed to previous polishing method, a new high polish method was successfully developed. newly produced nibs will be polished with this method. 2019. 12. 7.

Prototype Nib #8 (6/18/2019) So far, all the process, except slitting has been stable. however, i not that i tried slitting, i can understand why some companies have major issues with slitting... even if the part is set correctly, the end result is different. this is due to vibration of the slitting machine, micro slops in the mechanism, and the nib itself bends as well due to high speed vibration. Prototype Nib #6 (5/19/2019) First attempt at slitting the nib. Due to some wrong parameters, some inaccuracy occured. Some overcutting observed also, some imperfections due to polishing tests. Standard Thickness: M (0.6~0.8mm) Bend test Bending looks even across the nib, will not cause partial stress, which will cause problems in the long run. 2019. 10. 5.

Prototype nib #5 (4/5/2019) Made the test specimen with 14K gold ring. No intricate engraving, but plain look doesn't look too bad! The gold sheet was too thick, making this into a literal nail. weight of the nib 1.1g (146, aurora88, etc. around 0.6~0.8g) 2019. 10. 5.

Ebonite Feed 3rd Gen. V2.0 (3/13/2019) modification to the previous version... 1) internal comb is thicker than external, therfore preventing brekage 0.6mm -> 1.2mm tested 10 times in and out. no breaking. 2) Slit thickness reduced in order to increase ink holding capacity. comb number increased to 30. 3) frontal combs added to further increase ink holding capacity. 4) front part sharper angle 2019. 10. 5.
Analyzing Problem with 3rd Gen. Enonite feed (3/12/2019) 1) some fins break, when insertion and removal is repeated. this is a mojor problem, becuase some advanced users will inevitably remove the nib and feed. the underchannel + under fin structure design weakens certain portion of the feed significantly. even though the combs are 0.6mm thick to compensate for loss of structural integrity of the design, it simply isn't going to work. 2) the "tail" po.. 2019. 10. 5.

Compared to previous generation, the 3rd gen has proper buffers tructure inside the grip as well. machining all these features is very time consuming and difficult as well, becuase it is so tiny. hopely this works out ok... 2019. 10. 5.

Ebonite Feed 2nd Gen. design (1/8/2019) The air channel has been moved to bottom, like that of the old version platinum gathered ebonite feed. these days, literally nobody makes feeds like this. the air channel is usually on the top side of the ebonite feed. 2019. 10. 5.
Prototype Nib #2 (12/23/2018) Material : Argentium silver 925 compared to previous version, more stable fabrication possible. Previous prototype had uniform nib thickness, front to end. Ebonite Feed 1st Gen. V1 (5-10-2018) This is my first ever created ebonite feed. The ebonite feed is naturally superior than plastic feeds, when it comes to wettability. The ebonite is made of natural rubber and sulfer + some additional stuff. The reason ebonite is wettable, is because of its high microscopic porosity. At the surface of the ebonite, the sulfer eventually dissipates into the air over time. when this sulfer is gone f.. 2019. 10. 5.
Prototype Nib #1 (5/10/2018) This is one of my initial prototype nibs. previously, i tried with Titanium, stainless steel materials. The silver nib offers a bit of softness. the point of this nib is tungsten carbide. it will probably last 5~10x more than iridium points. however, it does tarnish a bit to black color. also, the writing feel may be inferior to iridium points. it is extremely hard material. 2019. 10. 5.
