adjusting flow of ebonite feeder for eureka titanium nib

by Eureka_Admin

here are the instructions for adjusting the flow of ebonite feeder for eureka titanium nib
depending on your style, the feeder may be too wet or dry for you.
If you feel like changing the flow level, you can either increase or decrease the flow

the circled place is the channel that determines the ink flow rate.
completely dry the feeder first.

1) if you want to decrease the flow apply a small amount of super glue, shellac, paint or anything that can make the channel shallower.

*Dab on the superglue with a slightly blunted toothpick. Do not apply with the superglue bottle directly!
After the glue dries, you may have to adjust / scrape the glue layer thickness with a thin metal strip ("Feeler gauge" recommended) thickness 0.2~0.3mm.

Sharpen the sheet metal by freshly cutting it with scissors / sharpening it with abrasives.

Please test the ink flow by filling the pen with ink. Repeat the process if necessary.

* Do not obstruct the channel all the way, or the ink flow will completely stop.

If you put too much, allow the glue to completely dry, then adjust with the metal strip.
* Do not apply near the main ink channel (ink channel that starts from tail(back) to front part of the feeder).
This is because the glue can seep into the main ink channel.
If the glue seeps into the main ink channel, you have to manually scrape out the glue with a thin strip of sheet metal (feeler gauge) thickness 0.1~0.15mm.

2) if you want to increase the flow, you can widen the channel with various tools.
Be very careful as to how much you widen the channel.
If the channel is too wide, ink may overflow uncontrollably.
If you want to go back, you have to make the channel shallower by using the 1) method explained previously.
