Development Update: Ebonite Feeder for 2nd Gen Titanium Nib
This post outlines the development progress of the ebonite feeder for the 2nd Generation Titanium Nib.
Engineering this feeder has presented extraordinary technical challenges due to the unique geometry of the 2nd Gen nib.
In particular, the extensive distance from the nib tip to the breather hole has heavily complicated ink flow dynamics, buffering function, and precision.
Over the past month, we have tested a wide array of ebonite prototypes each featuring unique internal configurations.
While none of these iterations will be chosen for production, each prototype has yielded invaluable insights, bringing us very close to finalizing the ultimate design.
To date, this has been our most demanding project.
The feeder must not only conform to the extreme structural profile of the nib, but it must also ensure flawless functional performance and long-term durability for years of use.
