Pilot 742 nib compatible ebonite feeder has been developed.
this feed is only compatible with specially designed grip section.
pilot nib is different from other brands because of its special nib root design.
compared to others, the pilot nib root has bended form.
this special form is the reason for high difficulty of developing ebonite feeder for it.
but this time, i was determined to make a perfect ebonite feeder for it.
while developing this feed, i found an interesting quirk of original plastic 742 feeder.
when 742 nib is seated in its original feeder, there's a big 1.4mm slop.
you can slide the nib back and forth, and it will move 1.4mm.
i am not sure why this is designed this way. maybe to facilitate nib removal?
anyways, i didn't like this slop.
so i reduced it to 0.1~0.2mm.
through this research,
now i am able to develop ebonite feeder for nibs with specially designed (bended) nib root form.
currently the 742 feeders are being produced.
with the development of 742 feed, now i am confident to move onto 743 feeder,
after production of 742 feeder, i will continue with the 743 feeder.
thank you.
