precise slicing of thick type of mother-of-pearl achieved.
traditional slicing of nacre is done using 0.2~0.3mm thickness.
in order to achieve high durability, i used 1~2.5mm thickness nacre.
slicing this into thin, accurate long pieces is very difficult.
following is the typical precision of this research.
length 30~40mm, thickness 1mm, width accuracy = 0.02mm
length 60mm, thickness 2.5mm, width accuracy <0.05mm
