*** We no longer officially recognize Con-70 / Con-40 as converter for Eureka fountain pen models.
We only officially accept Eureka ultem ink cartridge as ink storage device for our pens.
there has been several feedbacks regarding ink leak @ Con-70 & grip section end.
most of these feedbacks were solved by following my instruction tutorials regarding con-70.
so, most of the time the leaking is due to not following proper manual instructions.
however, I wanted an additional sealing protection.
so, for a while i've been doing research regarding this.
and... today morning I had Eureka moment.
Without Altering current design,
By using a simple oring, I found a new way
from now on the oring will be installed.
below is a typical eureka grip section (for ebonite feeder)
you can put a oring @ end hole of grip section.
then push all the way in with Con-70 converter.
there's an internal ledge, that oring can be pushed against
an additional, good sealing can be achieved.
below is roughly what it looks like inside.
although you don't see the PEEK ledge that oring gets pushed against.
basically, Con70 opening is pushed against the oring.
then the oring is pushed against the interal PEEK ledge.
so a perfect sealing can be achieved.
This is a very easy upgrade for your eureka pens.
but if you don't feel the need for it,
then it is not necessary.
