We are pleased to announce that the initial production prototype for our Second Generation Titanium Nib has been successfully developed.
As this represents the earliest stage of production, further optimizations may be implemented.
However, the final production model will remain closely aligned with this prototype's design and specifications.
At this stage, development is focused exclusively on the nib.
A dedicated feeder, barrel, and cap components will be engineered following the successful manufacturing of the nib.
Key Technical Characteristics:
1) Refined "Waterdrop" (or Exclamation point " ! ") Geometry:
The signature "waterdrop" shape (the foundational design of the first original Eureka prototype: https://eurekafp.com/24) has been fully realized for this production model.
The overall aesthetic and structural design have been significantly enhanced compared to its predecessor.
2) Non-Split Ink Slit Design:
The nib features a "non-groove" at the frontal view of the nib.
While the capillary groove is precision-machined on the underside, the face of the nib remains a smooth, solid surface with no visible slit.
3) Elimination of Tine Misalignment:
Due to the non-split ink slit, the nib completely eliminates the possibility of tine misalignment, ensuring a reliable and consistent writing experience.
4) Line Consistency:
Designed as a solid nib with minimal flexibility, the nib provides a stable, mono-thickness line.
Variations in line width can be achieved through special point geometry (writing angles) instead of pressure.
5) Planned Nib Sizes:
We intend to offer the following tipping options:
F (Fine)
M (Medium)
B (Bold)
V (Vari-Line: variable thickness by writing angle)
S (Stub)
6) Planned Nib Colors:
- various titanium annodizing colors
- various super hard coatings (TIALN, TIN, DLC, etc.)
7) Enhanced Affordability & Availability:
The Second Generation nib is engineered for significantly higher production efficiency. Consequently, it will be offered at a more accessible price point than the first generation and will be available for purchase separately as an accessory component.
