Hand made ULTEM feeder prototype for writing test Today I made a rough prototype ULTEM feeder for writing test. there was a feedback email from a customer.he had experience with ULTEM feeder, and warned me about ULTEM's poor hydrophilicity.due to that, he experienced either very limited or no ink flow, or sometimes too much flow.so the ULTEM feeder could be unstable. I was leaning towards using ULTEM for the titanium nib, since I could boost pr.. Super Precision Machined Titanium Nib Mastered Today I mastered the production of the machined titanium nib.the nib is very springy and is a little stiffer than bock steel nib.It isn't nail hard nib, due to the long slit and relatively thin sheet thickness for the frontal area.each individual nib requires dedicated handwork. as a result of that, each nib color is different.the material is titanium grade 23 (or grade 5 ELI) from Germany.Some .. machined titanium nib prototype completed Machined titanium nib prototype has been completed.The development of this nib required more time than expected.Unexpected problems related to machining titanium happened many times.Fortunately I was able to overcome those hurdles, and achieved pretty good result.Still, I have to work on perfecting the titanium finishing.
